Relay Races
Easy
Relay Races are a baseball friendly version of the standard relay race. Let’s not make this more complicated that it is. Two equal lines, everybody runs, first group to finish wins. Boom!
EXECUTION
Divide the athletes into two even lines and walk out to an extended distance. Stand with your hands extended so that each line is required to touch your hand before sprinting back to their line. You can also place the appropriate number of baseballs on either side of an end line and instruct each athlete to grab a baseball and before retuning to his line (with the baseball). The first group to cross the finish line with all baseballs becomes the winner.
DC KEYS
- Divide Equally – Spread your rabbits and tortoises out
- Walk The Distance – Determine if you are working on endurance or quickness
